1. Claim and Estimate Review

We review the claim documents, preliminary estimate and repair-authorization information available to you or provided to our facility.

2. Vehicle Damage Inspection

Our team inspects and photographs the accident-related damage. We also look for signs that structural, suspension, electronic or safety components may have been affected.

Some damage may only become visible after damaged panels and components are removed during repair planning.

3. Supplemental Repair Documentation

If additional accident-related damage or necessary repair operations are identified, we prepare supporting documentation for GEICO’s review.

Depending on the vehicle, a supplement may include:

• Additional damage photographs
• Parts and labor operations
• Structural measurements
• Diagnostic scan results
• Manufacturer repair procedures
• Welding or bonding requirements
• ADAS calibration requirements

GEICO determines whether additional items are covered and authorized. Our role is to accurately document the vehicle’s repair requirements.

4. Repair Authorization and Parts Coordination

Once the customer authorizes the repairs and applicable insurance approvals are received, we confirm the repair plan and coordinate the required parts.

Parts decisions may depend on the vehicle, manufacturer requirements, availability, the authorized repair plan and applicable policy provisions.

5. Collision Repair and Quality Control

Our technicians complete repairs authorized by the customer, subject to applicable insurance approvals and the agreed repair plan.

Depending on the damage, services may include:

• Bumper and exterior-panel repair
• Frame and structural repair
• Suspension and alignment work
• Auto glass replacement
• Diagnostic scanning
• ADAS inspection and calibration
• Paint matching and refinishing

Completed repairs undergo a final quality-control inspection before the vehicle is returned.

An initial insurance estimate may be prepared before the vehicle has been disassembled.

As a result, it may primarily account for damage visible during the first inspection.

Additional damage can sometimes be found behind bumpers, exterior panels, reinforcements, suspension components or sensor mounting locations.

When this happens, we document the additional accident-related damage and submit a supplemental estimate for GEICO’s consideration.

Repair timelines may change while additional operations, parts or authorizations are reviewed.

If rental reimbursement applies to your policy or claim, we can help coordinate a rental vehicle around the repair schedule.

Rental eligibility, daily limits and covered rental periods are determined by GEICO under the applicable policy and claim.
